    That clip should of been a cerclip not the c clip the shaft resting on the ears of the e c clip will eventually make it pop out the cerclip will stay as the taper on the shaft will help to keep it locked in place

    Great video ! I was facing the same issue withe a Johnson QD-16 and just thought that someone had substituted the wrong drive shaft at one point. Well, I just fitted a snap ring in that pinion gear's inside groove and now the impeller pin rides just where it should. Thanks a zillion !

    Measure play measure thickness of old impeller and compare or just open the whole thing and have a look.

    Love the Craftsman stool in the background. I gave my dad one when I was a kid around 30+ years ago. It survived for years and years until It was used to hold something while beating with a hammer. I was never able to find another. Ahh Memories….

    When gearcase oil slowly drained after removing the drain plug, that indicates that a seal is slowly leaking. (When you still had the top plug in).
