Modified 318 V8 w/727 Torque Flite auto, and a 2.73 rear. Nice – a good cruiser, and the drivetrain is definitely bulletproof. As for the body, considering the car's age and where it is lives, I've seen far worse cars a thousand miles south of you. Mopars aren't known for rust proofing (actually, what cars were back then?), so, preserve & cruise!
I already felt a kinship with you but wow man. In the early 80s I think 84, I bought a 74 Plymouth Satellite very straight N clean. The color,A realy deep dark green w/metallic sparkle and a tan Landau top.Along with that was a soon broken addiction & the end of my first marriage and I still hadent had my 20th b-day. 🤫✌
Never file the inside contacts in a relay from that period. They are gold or silver plated. Use a wedge type pencil eraser to clean them. I've cleaned boat loads of them over the decades and I've even replated some that had been filed. I've done it for Car and motorcycle restorationists I've been friends with. They know im a professional Pinball game tech and teach customers how to restore old electro mechanical pinball games. All of the stitches on those are good or silver plated and cleaned with real gum rubber erasers. Not the new Chinese versions that are crap.
I had a 1967 Dodge Coronet 440. 318 2bbl. White 4 door. It was the best car I ever had. The transmission slipped between 2nd and 3rd. Nobody could ever diagnose the issue. And, it ran just fine all the time I had it. Does your Plymouth have a slip like that?
I had a '66 Satellite Brougham, 2door hard top 383 4bbl dual exhaust and a 4 speed 3.75 gears. I was one of the quickest cars I ever owned. Maybe quicker than my '69 Road Runner.
I watch this and a 318 is internally balanced and a 727 Trans is balanced so you can't run a 318 and a 727 Trans

Love this car. What a gem!
You should paint it Forest Green to match the interior. Not yellow!

Oh for the good old days when you could actually repair a radiator yourself 🙂

Looks like the same speedo i had in my 74 Scamp.
X-acto knife usage on a Mopar beast. Love that you have the thought process of a surgeon.
YELLOW!
