I have an issue slipping out of first in my 70 type 3, I wonder if it's incorrectly adjusted inside, or slipped from a forceful shift or something. Thanks.
Bro i need some help. I have a 1995 mitsubishi super saloon v3000 no first gear i put full foot on gas and just goes up slow till about 60mph like 2nd gear then the power kicks in
Mustie1 I hate to say this… But I was getting so bored with this transmission thing first time ever watching your videos. Cuz I don't understand transmissions and they always scare me. This video hands-down coolest video you've ever made educational wise! I never understood how transmission worked until now thank you so much sir!
Check your 1st gear end play. You may need a thicker shim to put 1st gear closer to ( Snugger) the hub and take up the slop when the slider is in the 1st gear position. PLUS… use a jig to set your shift pattern. Only way to do it. You can cut out an old case to use as a jig. I've built over 2000 trans axles in my day since 1975.
Your voice and knowledge reminds me of my old shop teacher lol. He was awesome and created a fun career. Thank you for your time on your channel. It awesome
Can that be adjusted without disassembly?
