Zombie comment, but Jimmy Payne had a VW dealership in Jackson, TN, my home town. Not sure if he had dealerships in other towns in TN. Love your videos.
I love Crusty the VW Pick Up Truck. You're very lucky to find one up north. I grew up in Connecticut and there weren't too many left by the early 80's. When I got to West Germany in 1985 (active duty Air-Force) we had V.W. Single cab pick-ups assigned to our fighter squadron; The 512th, we had F-4 Phantoms then transitioned to F-16's. We would use the trucks to perform last chance inspections of the fighters before they taxied out to the runway. We also used them to check for black ice on the taxi-ways! That was fun, I would get the SC up to 85 kph (53 mph) and hit the brakes or emergency brake!!!! Fun times!!. The bed was awesome because I would usually just open the left long side to put our toolboxes in! When waiting for the planes to come out to the EOR taxi/parking spots we would keep warm in the truck!!! Winters in Germany are cold and humid!! She's a keeper!!
OMG great Scott. 9. Years. Later what advancements mustie made
Makes me cry seeing that vintage single-cab sitting out in the weather back then. Glad you've got a big garage these days.
