I went to a garage sale and this 1991 craftsman gt tractor was broken down in the yard with no takers, lets load it up and see if we can bring it back to life.

I bought a craftsman gt exactly like the one u stole the steering arm off of. I payed 200. Had been sitting 2 years. Took a few days got it running and cutting great! Tour videos really helped! Ive been watching your work for a few years. Thank you! Keep up the great work my friend.

He never shows it, but I hope the first thing he does is drain the old oil…..severely abused and neglected piece of mechanical equipment. The oil is the life blood of engines………………change it regularly!!!

I believe the mowing deck is missing guide/support wheels on the front.
The mower deck I found out most craftsman mower decks use the same spindles. So with saying that you have a few parts mowers and that black craftsman that you took the steering shaft from it had a rotted out deck. Pull the nut off the top of the spindle and take pulley off the rest should pull out of the bottom of the housing then this one do the same and that center spindle will be fixed. Also that plow blade may sit closer to the mower. My opinion but I might be wrong on that one

I bought a Red 2001 Craftsman GT 5000 for $70 in which it had a 25 HP Kohler blown engine with a low and high range transmission. I don't care for Kohler motors, I rather have a B&S due to the parts are cheaper and more reliable. Replaced the motor with a 22 HP Kohler in which it started leaking around the sump pump housing. I would like to get all of my 8 riding mowers ranging from 1987 to 1999, Murrays, MTD,s and Craftsman repaired and donate them to family in need, but due to my health I am unable to do this.
That there is a nice mower !
