Just use a plastic, rectangle fuel tank from a snowblower.

More time and effort than I've ever spent on a clutch cable… Great job, as always.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Huber says:

For the clutch slug (lead ball on the end?) you can drill a proper size mold into some treated (wet) wood cut a notch to place the cable in.. drop the cable in the notch and pour melted solder into the sized drilled mold (around the cable) and create your own slug end… I’ve done it quite a few times.. never had one fail 🤷🏼‍♂️

Had one. Chibi. 60cc, 3 spd with a clutch. ..top speed was like 40 mph. Very reliable. Rode mine for years. Original seat had a storage compartment body work attached.

Pretty nice 2 stroke mini bike. Those bikes like mine where made in taiwan and had used yamaha engines (50/80cc) from the YG1/YG2/YJ1. Frame and wheels are pretty similar to Honda Z50. Mine is a Gemini SST50 whit a rusted up gas tank LOL.

I think somebody is gonna be welding up a tank, lol. It'll take some time but is definitely doable.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Hollfelder says:

Here’s an idea .. use the metal tank as a mold for making a plastic blow mold tank.
