I picked up this craftsman pressure washer while on a drive in southern maine. lets see why it got thrown out and if it can be fixed? I purposely do not look at any machine before we can look at it together. what you are seeing for the 1st time I am also.

Don't know about the whit corrosion in the valve, but city water causes whit corrosion in plumbing . It's probably the chemicals they put in the water to kill bacteria . I wonder if this is also harmful to our health?

Did you see your oil drain plug under the deck?? They ALL have and allen key plug on THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE ENGINE…..lawn mowers too…. AND…that plug is a drain plug.
Scuff it and mix up so liquid steel, see if it will hole. That stuff has surprised me in the past!

Aluminum weld over the crack, or better yet you can buy a new better pump, or at some point youll find another one with a bad motor and good pump.
The cup holder is for quart bottles of detergent sears sold for these.
Honestly they were about usless and mine never really picked up the soap, a gravity feed system would have been better or a mix tank.
Dont start it with the pump on it, the pump shouldn't move without fulids in it.
