a friend picked up this Terramite Backhoe for cheap money as it would not run, he purchased a new fuel injected replacement and gave us the old one. lets see what is wrong and can it still run?

Dont run that engine like that, you are going to burn out the cylinder. You have no lubrication !.. If you put 2cyc motor oil in your fuel you can save the cylinder wall and rings but the lower end is going to wear in no time. What are you doing !
half ass guess, I think your right. has gas in the oil. no parts available? not worth fixing? Not worth saving pats? why destructively run it? shits & grins?
As good as that thing ran on one cylinder, I'd try to find a replacement con rod and put it back together.
Looks like one of the nuts came loose. Because it wasn't on the stud🤷♂
Rod broke, crankshaft would have way more alumn stuck to crank had rod siezed to crankshaft.
Hi Mustie! Like what you do.. hope one Day you run into a Skandia..offen used in fishingboats..lovely sound that attracts HD-lovers..
That is a GREAT Engine. Instead of trying to make it fail(I know its fun) But I would have rebuilt it! Why waste a good motor(or potentially a good motor)!
Rebuild it.
So cool to see that engine run on one cylinder 😄 I’ve never seen that before or even thought it was possible. Awesome to see & hear it run👍😄 That’s amazing!
There is something about watching your videos that is so calming.
I work on big diesel engines like wartsila 46f schulzer zav40s ect. , and would love to make videos like you but im unfortunately not allowed by the company.
Watching here mindoro occidental province Philippines….
Well if you're not going to fix it strip it for parts there's a bunch
My guess is a oil pump
Take a piece of wood plug up the journal oil Passage take a screw clamp used in an upper radiator hose and put oil back in it and it'll probably run quite a while like that. Jjust put a cover plate on it that's clear and let it see how long it runs on one cylinder see if you can even put it to work. As always thank you you have a good day Bob from Virginia USA
Rebuild it😊
