Maybe break them loose by putting a power drill on them and spin them very fast

I have a JD 111 and the starter solenoid went out and was wondering if the solenoid goes out if that is tied in with the PTO at all? I hooked a car starter button to the two large studs on the solenoid so I could start it after sitting for 5 years and went to switch the PTO on and the switch was stiff and would not move. So I bought a new switch and still the PTO wonโ€™t turn on. So if I remember correctly the purple wire by the solenoid might be to the PTO. Bought a new solenoid but it only has the two studs coming out of the little black circuit switch or whatever it is that I slid the red wires into the threads but the solenoid does not have a 3rd small stud like the one I took out which I think the purple wire slid onto the little stud . I also lost my notes when I took out the solenoid year so Iโ€™d know for sure how the wiring went. Canโ€™t find a solenoid that has the 3 small studs plus the two big power cable ones. Runs great and never had the head off. Wish the made them like they use to.

Don't use ethanol fuel, your asking for problems. I use nothing but, high test gas with zero ethanol.

Any more i just trash the engines that have internal problems, Cause parts are so hard to fine! Like rings, cams, and things. Getting so hard to fine lifters, springs and things. I just get a new engine for them. i get the ones with a little bit more horse power. All the other parts you can fine. Belts, decks, wheels and things > The old saying? if it not broke? Don't fix it!
