A youtuber contacted me about a honda 5000 generator that came with a house he bought, it was serviced for bad fuel 10 years ago then never ran after, lets see how a machine that was stored correctly can stand the test of time.

5000 watts: that rascal packs a punch. Condition?: it looks like it was just taken out of the box! Immaculate. Criticism: loud(I could sense the dBs through my PC); it's not a inverter; not as fuel efficient as modern units. Rebuttal: less parts that will break (it'll keep cranking out the power when bullets are flying or ya got 50 zombies crashing through yir front door); can't beat it for the price; it's a HONDA!
30 seconds in and I'm going to call it: it runs!
Why I only buy Hondas Iโm typing this not know if it runs but itโs only a 15 min video and will bet my life it runs great .
Hon do, the best generators !
Take care of them and the will take care of you
Most of those HONDA generators power heads have adjustable voltage regulators in the back.
One only need take the cover off to see…
I almost bought one very similar to that in a 3500 series, about 25 yrs ago.
I ended up buying a more expensive "contractor" version instead.
Since when has there been 13 months in a year lol that dates backwards
Running to fast! Has surging issues.
Buy yourself a Kill-O-Watt P3

The engine speed may be a bit high. 61.5 hertz with no load should be optimal speed for a generator. Lol i commented right before you said something about it being a bit high.
Hi. i know a trick that ju can adjust voltage and frequnce individule. If you take of the cover on the powerhead you se the voltage regulator unscrew that but leave the cords connected. you find a blue thing with a tiny screw on the back side there is where you adjust the voltage. and sorry my ban english
Without a load, it should idle not run fast.
Why do you want to skip using the choke? It's made for starting a cold engine, the choke closes off the air so the engine runs richer and will start easier. Replacing a hand choke with an automatic was stupid, hand chokes are adjustable from the driver's side but you have to lift the hood on a automatic.
