a friend had asked me if l would help him see if we can get his 1979 porsche 911 targa running after being in a salt water flood for a week his father inlaw gave it to him and all he had to do was go get it a thousand miles away..it had some run issues with running before the flood too. but he drained the drive train changed fluids several times and put a new starter in it.
the poor car has had a rough couple of months and not sure if we are helping with the comedy of errors we put it through too, thanks for watching, hope you enjoy.

Breathing that air cannot be good for you lol oh well only live once I guess
its painful to watch you guys start a car in an enclosed garage without sticking a hose in the tail pipe, i guess its not required by law down there,
It's and EXTERNAL combustion engine?
Should had some shrimp to put on your barbie!!!!!
great video to watch
"Been around twice, this car has over two hundred thousand miles." … Mmm, that logic.
Thanks for showing us how not to resurrec a salt water submerged vehicle. Should be taken out and everything gone throurgh. all wiring should be tossed. For shits and grins try a little experiment . Take a piece of covered wire about 6 inches, bend it over like a U with one side longer. submerge the short end in a glass of water and wait……. In a short while it will start dripping from the other end. And thats why this Porsche should be stripped down. With drown cars there are no short cuts for a future reliable car.
No exhaust tubes in that shop??? Why not roll it outside?
Wanna fire it up?
What's up
Hi
Greetings from Germany, you got a pretty rare Targa 911 there.
Hope you can fix it, it would be sad if the car would get squezed to a cube😁
I have a project 78 911sc, very fun car to work on, stupid simple design, but man parts are sure not cheap. Hope you get her up and going.
Mustie 1 "Mosquito Abatement vehicle".
Who else heard taryl's "fire it up, fire it up"?
