I was contacted by a fellow youtuber who wanted to know if I would be interested in his motorcycle a 1978 jawa 634 oilmaster 350. and we got together and made a deal. now it is time to see what we got for a bike and if it will run. so lets get into the repairs and diagnoses to see if it will do just that.

A 2016 model of one of these with 7,000 miles on the clock costs aproxamately £3,000 GBP. currently and the design of the two stroke hasnt really changed since the 1970s, my Father had one in 1976 and it is identical to yours, it seems that they exported them worldwide from Chekoslivakia. We have just one Jawa importer left in the UK now and he is pretty on top of his game, he told me last week that they are launching a 650 next year 2024 but hes not sure if they will import it to the UK. Im seriously thinking of buying one, they have electric start and no ecu like modern machines these days. The ultimate bike for tall people with size 12 feet as the seat height is good and the controls are big, even the foot pegs are large.

In 90s here in India 350cc twin was introduced by jawa infact a company known as ideal jawa in India was selling these brands under jawa and yezdi names. I had two motorcycles one was 250cc and another 350cc twin two stroke bikes. Had travelled a lot…it was like as long petrol is available these machines will keep going …really mean macho bikes of those days now once again in 2022 jawa 42, jawa perak in 4stroke latest engines but same old look are produced once again in India…perak looks just out of this world.

Put some 8mm headed small bolts back in place of those horrible screws, won't regret it.

wow … Now I'm a bit invidious !!! A JAWA !!! The only thing that bothers me a tad is the fact that you get smoke only on the left cylinder (exhaust). Very strange.

This is an "export" model, I think. With "automatic-mixture", no?
To be honest, I'd prefer to run it on pre-mixed gas instead of using that "automixture" stuff.
But that's me. (As I have an old Vespa 125CC from 1958 running on 1/20 mix … so I carry a small bottle of oil and mix it with the gas when filling-up the 5 litres.

There was a clue in the rust at the top of that ignition key…

Pull out the key then it will switch of

Knoxville634 has it correct, with the key all the way down, turns the ignition on, pull it up just one notch shuts the ignition off! watching this video of you going so deep to figure it out was driving me crazy! Laverder Motorcycles worked with the same kind of key system!
