The best rust preventative for a vehicle is to not drive it when there's snow on the ground. You can leave it outside in the winter, but don't drive it in the snow. If you do that you're unlikely to ever have any major rust problems, unless you live on the coast amidst salt air, but even that isn't anywhere near as bad as kicking up salty snow and slush into the undercarriage all winter long and letting the steel marinate in it.
I think I would be hard pressed to find someone in my area that would do this kind of work at this quality level without paying a fortune. They would take one look at the job annd be overwhelmed and give me "I dont want to do this job" estimate.
If you covered the undercarriage and floor pans ,to prevent more rust, did you do the floors inside the car,.and some areas that are known to get rust like the door jambs, and so forth.
Another trick, you may find handy, is to use grease dissolved in petrol and spray that inside the chassis the petrol evaporates, and leaves the grease behind, also add a bit of tubing to your gun to get in further
You sure put a lot of time and effort into defending yourself to the detractors. Maybe they should just screw off and start their own channel. Bet they won't get half the 407k subscribers (currently) you have. It's easy to be an armchair quarterback when it's not their money, time or property being repaired. Keep doing what you do, brother.
Every time on the first sunny day in spring my car smells like the oils
Amazing work! Wouldn’t the road salt stick to all the grease and not be able to be rinsed away though?

Are you not going to replace his idler arm?
Great looking VWviagra job, Mustie… I say that because that old rag top is probably stiffer than it was when it rolled out of Wolfsburg or Puebla.

Thanks for another great video! 👍🏼
Also how about underneath the dash, where the metal is prone to sometimes to rust

Does the owner want the grease underneath for a undercoating?
Me: I've got the oldest, old-timiest, antiquiest-lookin' grease pot in the world.
Mustie: Check THIS out…
Me: sits down and says nothing
Need to add rail dip sticks to check the levels! Should be good for years to come.
I've seen Volkswagen pickup trucks sold for 150000 20 years ago
Gotta kind of remember crusty type Volkswagens brought back two brand-new have sold for 150000
There are people out there that will pay 40 grand for that car

How would water get back into the frame rails after you fixed them?
