built a battery tray, but then needed a muffler so we try a couple of setups until we find the right combination cutting up a motorcycles muffler to fit our needs.

You used to be able to get adapter to go on top posts and let them drop down over side of battery can jump battery from side
Add two panels just below the name Cushman on each side and place the seat. That should quiet it down some more.

fill the opening with copper currly kates scrubbers, works well quieting it up, we used to stuff our motorcycle mufflers to get thru motor vehicle inspection
