My Cushman Van-ster has to have a tiny bit of choke to start and run until it is plenty warm : ) Mine is a 91 as far as I can tell ans for some reason it tops out at only 20 mph ?…You think there are different ring and pinion gear sets available? Larger rear tires would help but as it is 1St gear is almost non esential. and BTW, Mine has 4 wheels. Now I know what to expect when I check on my stiff, barely functioning brakes : ) sweet rides !
What a cool project!! Surprised that welded drum tang didn't give you more trouble. The seat was classic. ๐
You didn't put on the red lights….lol
It needs some flashing red lights on top๐
Hopefully this will be a restore and a repair..maybe used in a parade or for schools to show off, for many things police etc.
cool work Mustie1
Couldn't do anything other than smile ๐
Muscle meter maid haha!
I think this thing is so awesome! Good choice apparently you really like it too! Thank you for your content sir! Keep it up I look forward to seeing you and learning something and laughing at your little jokes haha
A little tip, if you are bleeding the brakes by yourself, attach a hose from the to a jar with some brake fluid in it, so that when you let the brake up it will suck fluid back in instead of air. If the bleeder is open when you take your foot off of the pedal it will suck back about 5% to 10% of the fluid it just pushed out. Hope that helps someone bleed thier brakes if they are stuck doing it by themself.
Always thought those things were death traps! Sticker seems to indicate a golf cart is safer. But with a bit of paint & a chalk stick to mark tires, you could cruise @ town & have fun!
78 that runs near me for sale. might get it
I probably have relined 1000 sets of brakes in my 73 years. I was told at a young age to NEVER use a drill on wheel cylinder hones because it would take too much off and make them leak. I was told to spin the hones with my fingers two or three times to just break the glaze on them. I guess they were wrong. You did no damage to the wheel cylinders.
Needs a seat, breaks out chainsaw ๐ ๐
We don't need no stinkin' circular saw dang it.
Mustie loves the smell of chain saw oil and two stroke fuel burnin' in the morning ๐
What's the big deal if it hits the brake drum. You mean to tell me the drum doesn't move with the tire WOW ๐
This is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen lol
