    I owned one of these in 73 and that is not the original exhaust it came up at the back towards the top of the rear wheel and out. unless this is the road version not trials

    running these bikes with rectifiers without a battery blows the headlights. when you shot the fuel in it ran straight out of the exhaust.. next time rotate the engine so both valves a re closed.. also always check the kickstart lever nut for tightness before you kickstart any bike that you havent checked it on.. once the get loose, they slip and strip the splines out on the shaft.
