Why didn’t you clamp that pipe into the bench vise? Doesn’t that have pipe jaws when you open up the vise? Just wondering.

When your driving a exhaust pipe on get your sacrifice 3/8 th extension with a deep weel socket to not damage the threads

Ok back to subject. cleaning those close threads is a pain, I take the nut and cut a groove with one of those vibrating air sawz allz. they have thin blades that fit in there nice and deep like. usually three groves works great

You're working on the beigeVW bus and I guess the motor design changes when you go to fuel injection just looks absolutely horrible so much for German engineering
