I had the same thing happen to me when ordering a friction disc for the similar Craftsman 11 hp model. I was all excited that the part came in so quick, then realized it was larger too.
Mystie, you do so many of these snow blower friction plate drives, I'm surprised you don't use chain tacky lube and graphite spray for the speed selector hex shaft. I found both of these are also made by PB Blaster……..Nice to help a neighbor, and do the job right, isn't it ? I find many people have no idea about mechanical things….
