My dad used to strip paint off of old toy trains with Pine-Sol in a stainless catering tray on top of a camp stove. One time, he used caustic on aluminum parts and they dissolved. I could be wrong but this was back in the 1990s and I remember hearing something about Pine-Sol changing their recipe because of phosphates, or something.

I like your videos that were made in the old shop. There’s something cool about a old shop , but you needed the room
Keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻

Only you would have the balls to do what you do in this video! Most people would throw in the towel before the first motor was warm! Bravo!

You know, I just watched this video, and you have come a long way in four years, more of a host and a better editor than you were then.

You know before pressure washers were in vogue, we used a garden hose, soaked it down went over it with soap and a brush, then dried it and polished it, and voila, it looked like new. Car or lawnmower or tricycle, it was the envy of the neighborhood..

In the Air Force we called that Cannibalizing Parts. You did a great job making a serviceable lawn tractor at the end. I have a Craftsman 19 hp that we just replaced the engine with a new motor. The old engine was blown (ran very noisy) and it had oil all over the frame. Learning from you, maybe I should have pulled the heads, inspected the gasket, piston, cylinder walls, piston, valves and seats and valve clearances. Yeah, I feel confident to do that NOW being I watched so many of your videos. At least, it would have been a learning experience. Thanks and keep sharing the knowledge.
