Lol I had the mice do that to an ignition wire in my rototiller a few years ago, also just built it up with electrical tape and it's still running fine.
i would tell them its not a good candidate, then ask them about buying it. my father had an allis chalmers farm tractor so i wouldnt mine having this even tho its a garden tractor.
mmmmm looks like the simplicity regent 12 i have…. very much same setup.. i wonder if same tractor???? bat spot, sillynoid , fuel tank , blades , forward rev lever… all in the same spot even the key.. if it has a pin under motor for snowblower.. its gotta be the same

If he wants it for young kids. It is probably a good idea to remove the fast moving cutting blades.

I had one of these. Good running motor cut good but got rid of it when the transmission started acting up
