a secret I learned… fill the pipe with table salt in the bend . and it won't collapse…its a old brake line trick.its reuseable and you can get 50 pounds of it for 30 bucks. its ghetto mandrel bending at its best…beats having to mod everything
Do you think the location of the welded seam inside the tubing makes a difference when you're bending it? I can't see it make the tube twist, but I imagine that it makes one side of the tube a little more rigid.
I wish I had one of your scrap yards here that was that good.
Mustie1, It works good, I have a cheap one from Harbor Freight, it presses a shoe into the pipe to make the bend… Nice build…

I would add some nylon guides to the bottom roller plate where it runs up and down just to keep it from wiggling sideways so much.
