The ships wheel says ; Middletown! Could be it was made in Middletown or perhaps it came off the SS MIDDLETOWN, a great Lakes iron ore freighter owned by Oglebay-Norton's transportation subdivision called Columbia Transportation! They also owned the SS Edmond Fitzgearld that sank in 1976!

those are all industrial sewing machine parts..those large pulleys are used and activated by the operators knee to engage the machine
