Arent those pans supposed to be stripped and painted before installation? I have a 68 that need this done on driver side. I have the two 1/4 pans and I am not looking forward to tackling this job.
Just a guess on the HP. Also saw a post that talked about kool bore or cast iron sleeve. If I read that right and the info is correct, you should have a cast iron sleeve in that. Date codes are apparently stamped on the flywheel and magnito, possibly armature too, year xx, month abc…, maybe 54d on yours?

brake lines are almost a planned replacement item on my drivers every 5 or 6 years. Thanks for the video! never did a body on pan replacement before.
