Hey Mustie I bought a Vanagon 10 years ago in San Fran from a Priest for a $1000 bucks drove it for a year around the states and Canada it was an air cooled one and only had one problem a frozen fuel pump in Canada had me baffled but once I took the pump out got it to room temp, installed it the van fired straight away. We don't get the cold weather! Great videos Mustie loving the journey.
I don't know about the size of your tow ball. but here in Ireland, people just cut a hole in the bottom of a tennis ball and side it on over the ball, fits like a glove! Might be and idea for you, since tennis balls are pretty easy to come across in yard sales….
