The interior came from England? I don't think we got Westfalia conversions over here. Also, the layout would be reversed, since we drive on the left hand side of the road, with steering wheel on the right hand side of the vehicle. Our conversions were of UK specification models, and were from Devon, Caravans International, Auto-Sleepers, Danbury, and Dormobile. I go StarCamping a lot these days (to see 3,000 stars and Milky Way galaxy overhead, you see nearly nothing in urban / populated areas with excessive artificial illumination) and it's wearing my old small car out. I would love a Campervan, ahh it''s lovely to dream isn't it. In the meantime I watch your videos! Best Regards from England.
I like the idea of the curtains all the way around the front so you can at least when you wake up or something you can get up and sit in the passenger seat or driver seat, that's pretty good idea. Or if you took the dogs with you it would give them a place to sleep.
Miss Lucy is looking beautiful! I have seen her in the background of so many of your videos, I had to see how she came to be. Man, what a transformation! Keep up the good work, my friend!
You probably got it by now, but you need a clamp like in the back to hold cabinet to hold the front. I am doing the same thing, a 70 interior into a 66… I might even just cut the warddrobe cabinet down – some bay owners have done that for visibility and they like it.
It's not that it is illegal to sell it, It was listed on Craigslist, we had it listed for a good 8 months but nobody wanted. And with the wopping 3 calls we we got, not one of them ended up working out. I live in South NJ. Camden County to be exact.
I have a decaying, 66 VW bus just chillin in my backyard. My dad was in vietnam, and when he was discharged he baught it used in 1973. The bus hasn't been started in 17 years. We can't sell it, so now the only thing we both use it for is hot boxing, smoking some god damn keef !
