I haven't read through all the comments but that supply voltage under the rear view mirror is for a camera. They have em facing forward to monitor the road ahead and can be used by insurance companies to qualify your story.
I had a cargo van (2005 Chevy Astro) I paid $800 cash for it. Drove it for 5.25 years and racked on another 115,000 miles. It had 278,000 miles on it when I traded it in for a 2013 Chevy Silverado 2WD standard cab pickup. The 4L60E trans in the van was starting to show signs of failing. It would shift abruptly at times. Though it was resetable by shutting off the engine for a maximum of 30 seconds & restarting the engine. Since the body was rusting out I decided to trade it in. It has a posi-lock rear diff, which made driving a rear wheel drive much better in the winter than any other rear wheel drive I have driven.
Hi mustie, Mt project truck is a '79 GMC "Heavy Half" with a 350cu in and Turbo 400. It is n the road, but has a rough body paintwise and a few rust holes not bigger than a 50 cent piece. Runs like a scalded dog when warm but has an acceerator pump prob in the carb when cold. It does have the HEI ignition system which I do not like, gonna try a distributor (points, condenser, external coil type) on it, then stip ad paint it. Both door "regulators" are shot, plan to replace them someday. But a good project truck for $800 will keep me occupied, and your tips on rustproofing are very welcome! Thanks!
Seek and you will find. Get on with it
Excellent deal…. Also if I'm not mistaken that year of f150 also has the breakaway spark plugs…
love the truck

damn, the tires on it alone are worth $200.00. I'd run out and buy some lottery tickets too.
