Hey mustie1 I know this is a really old video. And I've commented this once before. But even if you're doing okay right now. A great thing for your back is those little blue Grabbers at Harbor Freight keep them all over your shop will definitely help with bending over in screwing up more of your back.
I had no idea you had a beetle, sorry about your back. My dad got in a rear ender accident in his 1987 vanagon and ended up in the second row of seats and got a pinched nerve in his spine and has had 2 surgeries since…
great glad you made out well, any chance you may make some vids of the progress, makes for great momentos when the kids are older,, thanks for the luck,,
Hey Mustie, we got the bug home safely yesterday and cleaned the fuel tank and carb out today and had it running round the yard today… Great bug, thanks very much for all you help…. Good luck at the docs tomorrow!!
I have a couple of busses that would come first for me over the bug, so it was time to cut it loose while it was still a good restoration candidate, wait till you see the 59 singe cab, has great original graffics on it from a lumber yard, as far as the back its a tuff setback for me, no matter what im done for the summer,, but what can you do but deal with what I have to, not like theres a chioce, and thanks caring,,
Breaking my heart man… I thought we were going to get to watch you build that car like you did the bus. I read the comments below about your back. I hope whichever route you go, you get back to full stride.
I'd rather breathe exhaust fumes than see my bug rust out, but I'm in love with danger.
Don't the vents behind the side windows mark it as a Super Beetle?
Gotta love snatch blocks……
