I was driving a 65 Ford across the country when the external voltage regulator failed. Did a similar thing of burning up tthe tail light bulbs and nearly destroyed the battery. Stranded in the middle of Texas I limped it to gas station to gas station to charge the battery then drove like hell to the next one! For some reason the vehicle was destroying these regulators rather quickly and the parts stores couldn't give me any answers on why. One final charge before my destination it started to get dark and had to use my headlights just barely to creep in.. With no charging system the vehicle would not idle at a slow speed, so every red light had to drop it into a neutral to keep the RPMs up.. Good times
That's a very nice tractor/backhoe, the two at work have been used fairly regularly but have seen the shop very infrequently. The unfortunate thing is having to track down everything that got fried by the high voltage… the rest is probably simple by comparison
seems like it would do much damage on a old case but if it has computers then it would be a costly one. many time i have gone 24 volts on my system just to start it , bulbs don't last long at that power. good luck , i'll be watching to see what else you find , always learning youtube style :op
That case looks like it makes my back hurt.

good thing you got the electric fuel shutoff. ever seen a runaway?
that seat is just to cool
Thanks for the video
Good lesson on how to get one of those things moving. The electrical is a mess but sure sounds like it runs good. That is a great old tractor seat.
You have some great toys! Got me beat…
how much 4 the seat? i would like 2 buy it…pm me with a price & shipping & we can go from there PEEEACE OF SUMMIN
Interesting.
The seat looks like one off of an old hay rake. I used to have one just like it back in the day.

Alternators gone wild
On that loader, what's the game plan, is it all being fixed, with the electrical, or just the things that are needed things?
It will be interesting to see how this one comes along. D hates electrical issues. Like that VW behind you!
