I would just lower the top mount for the coil/shock assembly. That's how FWD shops do suspention lift's on "70's ford 1/2 ton 4X4 pickups with front coil suspention. When i post something on craigslist and no buyers, then just post it on the craigslist of another larger city. In my case minneapolis craigslist. I always get tons of phone calls. Good luck.
The original on the car look a lot like the coil over shocks for the Mustang II front ends or the Mustang II weld in clips used for hot rods. JEGS or and performance catalog should have them and they are not that much for a set.

@satajet883 I was always told to never put them in the front but not sure why,
