A slight change in content from your repair video that I watch all the time. Came across this video trying to see pictures or video footage of the castle. I used to go their as a kid. I have some original signs from the castle that he had created replacements and kept the old ones that I am donating back to Sussex county that were found in storage after his passing.

The round stones are milling stones for milling wheat corn and grains.

I still have the pennant that I purchased when my kindergarten class took a field trip to Gingerbread Castle. I was four years old and was like visiting another world. It was my first field trip.

With the your interests in vintage cars, Iโ€™m surprised there isnโ€™t a video of you going to Space Farms and looking at the cars that they have in one of the back buildings.

In 1967, several friends and I snuck into the Gingerbread Castle late at night and it was the spookiest experience ever. I froze in fear when one of the boys stumbled back down to the landing after going up to a higher floor. He ran right out thru the opening we'd found to get in and even tho my legs were shaking from adrenilin terror, I fled outside and could hear my friends clambering about in their haste to flee whatever scared them. After we were all out of breath and gathered near the little train tracks, they blamed each other for being the 1st chicken to run when they thought one of the window figures had slightly moved. Remember those days, Johnny, Bobby, Audrey, Debbie, David, Connie, Tink?

My friends and I took our kiddies there in the '70's-'80's. I remember us eating freshly baked, warm gingerbread with whipped cream topping. Best we've ever had!

That's tragic the parents don't raise their children to not vandalize somebody else's stuff just cuz nobody lives there. The place will be a cool Museum.

It is sad that Gingerbread Castle has been abandoned and is in disrepair. I am 67 now remember when my parents took me to the castle when my brothers and I were little boys. I recall the tour guide telling the little children to not touch the castle – or it would turn to stone.

The guides were dressed in period costumes to look as if they were Hansel and Gretel. It would be wonderful if someone were to reopen the castle! Precious memories of a family outing.
