Were there even woods 60 years ago?
The section you called the cockpit is actually the tailgunners section.
With todays scrap prices and the type of metal they used in the plane i bet you could make a killing on that metal.
I just try to imagine the horror of the last few moments before impact for those poor souls, I hope people show due respect, and leave this crash site as untouched as possible, and not removing artefacts. ๐
why would they not want to clean it up and just leave the sign telling what happen
THANX TO THOSE WHO'S PERISHED PRAYERS!!!
Was there any nukes on board?… they still haven't found the one missing near goldsboro NC … military is not sure if it is in the ocean or buried in the ground somewhere..waiting for a farmer to hit it with a plow or something

Strange the amount of times this has happened in Maine New Hampshire and Vermont. I remember hunting camels hump in Vermont and finding remains of one.
That's not the cockpit either.
That's not an engine Bubba.
Amazing place I wish I could see it!
you should bring your tools out there and try to start it
Been to Moosehead lake but never made the hike out to that crash site. Thanks for taking us along
Rip guys….
It would be hard for me not to want to take home a little something. Nothing big but something to show my grandkids later in life or something.
