l picked this bike up from craigslist about 2 months ago, it sat for about 20 years and had a seized engine, we got that freed up then started fixing all the broken parts. lets finish it up then take it for a spin around the yard for the 1st time.

Absolutely awesome that this 4 year old series came up in my feed.
I'm pretty sure that I did watch it back then even tho all 3 episodes show the thumbs up as blank but given I'm 68 and watch around 10 other various interests channels I've pretty much no doubt I simply forgot about it and so I get to enjoy a Sunday treat of 3 Mustie1 episodes in one day.
A glorious Sunday it has been.
If anybody could have resurrected this little bike It's Herr Doktor Professor Mustie1 Darren.

Because your forks had water in them you should have disassembled and used compressed air to dry the innards. No air ? Leave it apart for several hours.
No, the TL 250 didn't come with air forks.
Why are you prying on the side case with a pipe !?!? You know that side case is magnesium don't you ? It says it on the side. Break that and you may never find another one.
Prying on a side case, and not running the chain through the tensioner ? These are red flags
people. Don't do everything this guy
does. You may be wondering about my mechanical knowledge. I raced
MX , Hare Scrambles for 25 years. I studied Mechanicle Engineering, and
    I've been a Machinist for 45 years.
Most of what this guy does is ok, but
some of it will break expensive parts. Go slow and use your brain ,
especially when you are working on a RARE bike like this TL.
