This 1968 chibi mini bike made by Bridgstone was picked up at a yard sale for $80, it lived a hard life but we are here to try and save it. lets see what it takes to rustore it back into running and riding condition. spending no money on it.

I rode kawasaki triples 500 and 750 two strokes both modified had other bikes dirt bikes and street but I had a early Honda 50 manual trans, galvanized water pipe for exhaust ole bike was black and chrome. My friends came over and we always ended up spending the entire afternoon dang near killing ourselves on that thing, smaller bikes will get you hurt super quick and laughed at…. a lot
You should have mounted a piece of ply to the front just like in the back. It would have given you an easy way to mount the tank, plus the fuel outlet could be recessed into the wood without touching the frame. Blend the new ply right into the old. There was no need to cut off the threaded studs.
"Ok, I'm going to try and make it back to the shop, it's leaking."
Meanwhile, 1/2 hour later still tearing around the back lot!๐
Very cool, Daryl! Good job getting it in running order ๐!
Which stars did you see Marlon Brando, John Wayne or Marilyn Monroe , i could hear a couple of comedians laughing though.
Next time while making adjustments, don't forget to wear your helmet!๐
What used to be back there on the lot? I see what looks like slabs of concrete with grass growing up the cracks.
Cit the bottom out of the factory one and place the shell over another tank.
That kind of reminds me of a mini bike that got handed down through a family of 5 boys each one braking and hobbling a fix together for the next one (yeah there was 5 of us kids that had to do this with many things)
Rotary valve fifty cc two strokes were the bomb back in the late sixties thru to the eightyโs, I bought a Suzuki A100 rotary valve bike new and could top eighty mph with few mods. Kawasaki, Suzuki and Mitsubishi built rotary valve bikes and my favourite is the square four RG500 Grand Prix bike from Suzuki at more than 200 bhp per litre in its various forms. That little beast looks to have years more fun left in it. Just remember the oil โฆ 50:1 synthetic is my recommendation โฆ
Very impressive and as hard as you rode it, those screws in the seat would have been sticking me in the rear end as fat as i am
Add repairing those two chain tensioning rigs by welding off set washers . That is just one example of your "out of the box" approach. Add your referring to your stash for items made for entirely different applications get changed into parts you need right now!!! Brilliant
Had one when I was a kid and absolutely the best mini bike ever! Wish I still had it!!!
That thing hauls with an adult. Little Johnny would be zooming in 3rd gear with the revs.
That's a bad ass little minibike and sounds like it would be a good ideal to keep your eyes open for factory seat and tank
Ah there is a kid in all of us. So many memories riding those as a kid. ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฆ๐บ๐๐
