Mustie1, I think it was a DC generator, but, for most 60cycle AC applications, they run at 3600 or 1800 RPM… I have to sleep on a lot of projects, what seems very difficult one day, just fall together the next… Thanks for posting!
It would be easy to port that motor to get more rpm from it. I wonder if you can turn the head 90 degrees to dissipate more heat that way. I think the head is more critical to keep cool.
the fins being angled is for better cooling, think of it being more resistant for the air to flow creating more pressure, similar to an airplane wing and air creating lift
Just a silly detail, but since you mentioned air flow over the cylinder's fins, do you know if you can rotate the cylinder head 90 degrees to line up its fins lengthwise with the bike? I've been curious about that for a while now.
Look's good, Just one thing catches my eye, the head is sideways, I would almost bet that the head and jug are symmetrical if so it could be rotated on the block, might be worth looking at.
I love the backbone that bike. That looks we cool mustie1!
I also like the "curvyness", looks very nice.

A lot of thought and work goes into the bike. really nice.
With a longer stroke that engine may have a lot more low end torque. Great for starting off from a stop. Take Care.

You have a designer's eye for a nice line. Looking very stylish.

F*ck yea man!!!! Looks nice!!! keep us posted!

That tubing bender seems to work great, BTW.

Awesome !!
it's looking cool
The dangerous curves machine! Looking really cool
Bikes looking good! Any bites on the Bug?
