Split rings are made in galvanized, black steel and copper. The cooper is just copper plated steel. And they are sized accordingly to the outside diameter of the pipe they are used for. I.e. a 3/4 copper split ring measured 7/8 inside diameter. Black and galv. Are sized for iron pipe and pvc.
You have a wonderful eye for invention. And a mind brave enough to make it work. How bout a bike build with car bits? Steering wheel and gas pedal with a brake pedal too??
How about Link Ends that are open all the way through like a small three point hitch balls to hold your control rod. Would that move with the curves of the handlebars? Never mind, after watching the video to the end I like what you came up with!
