I know of another manufacturer that uses 12 point bolts and nuts and I work for them,Boeing.A lot of aircraft fasteners are 12 point.

It was pretty obvious when the head was off and the crank wouldn't turn, it had been used as an anchor. LOL

i was 11! Am now 78! If you run into something really salvageable; I have found using "WEASEL PIISS" to be helpful. A 50/50 mix of ATF & ACETONE. SOAK TIME UP TO 2 WEEKS FREES UP A BUNCH OF JUNK! Really enjoy your content; brings back lots of memories.

I'd say either submerged or a ground was put to a sailboat hull because thats some electrolysis level rust
