tell yuh the truth rusty old tractors that run good are head turners i drive my 72 john deere 112 and people stop and try to buy it all the time an its got sun cracks in the hood rust the original rear tires and engine lol
Thumbs up, love having a new life on old metal.
Oh man the inside of that transmission looks crazy😂😂
Wow a horizontal crank 636cc Briggs engine? Do you still have this mower? Are you interested in selling it
I literally just bought a snapper. YT12 it's got tons of power. But it needs a new friction wheel and charging system. Still cuts 3 foot tall grass.
Milk crate to the rescue! Here in Australia they’re used for so many different applications from a simple step up , to multiple purpose tool carrier, who ever invented a plastic crate for so many uses was a genius! Another great v/ log , love ya commentary, nothing better than Mustie1 on a Saturday morning and a brew. Cheers from Downunder ❤️🦘🦘🦘
A man cut from the same cloth as me. We used to go out on garbage day in Brooklyn, NY and get parts from old TVs. We built all sorts of things. Not to mention the mechanical stuff that we managed to learn about how all sorts of stuff worked.
Thanks for this as I'm currently learning about Snappers as I've got one which seems to be ok except gas is not getting gas. Next step is to get to the carburetor which won't be fun
90% of this machine is exactly the same as what my rear engine snapper was. Same gear box and axle setup. Same disk that spins on the driveshaft was installed directly to the engine shaft on the rear engine model with that rubber wheel disk. Even had the same seat and mowing deck. It's actually a really good mower cheap to fix I ended up selling it for twice what I paid years later.
I'm no mechanic like you but was it not doable to swap in a larger gear in the trans for the high gear to give it more top speed??? Great watch well done very entertaining, love that old equipment you can work on yourself
Ive always done the same thing neighbors throw it i take it apart we throw i take it apart. Gotta answer that question as a 2 year old "how work?"
I just had a bike chain fail like that from fatigue. Oiled daily cleaned once a weak
