    Back when I was 10ish, in the late 60's, my friends farther would take his and I to the local police action were you could get unclaimed bikes for almost nothing. Then we mix and match parts and get creative. Watching you build this and your other Mustie bikes makes me want to get a welder and hacksaw and get at it again.

    Possibly you could cut the old box in half and use one on each side of the basket,on each side of the bike!!! wrapped in laminated newspapers!!!

    It's the systems charger output that will tell you what the voltage of the motor is.
    Most likely it's 36 volts and that's what damaged that lead acid 12 volt battery.
    The 36 volt battery is a lithium battery.
    Electric motor bike wheels can fit front or rear.
