on part 1 we got the engine to run, now lets get the rest of the bike ready for the road, a fellow subscriber contacted me about this fold up engine powered scooter that was sitting in a garage for over 40 years, he got it when buying a 2 wheel tractor, the owner was cleaning out and offered it to him, he in turn offered it to us to see if we can bring it back to life. lets see how it goes and why it was put away in the 1st place.

Awesome! The forgotten art of manual labour 🙂 You should be a teacher to get kids excited about stuff like this again!

Would look really slick with some covers made with carbon fiber and the original aluminum trim

Also the bracket at the top of the rear shock has a lug that locks into the cross bar of the frame and the previous owner as well as yourself did not notice this which is why the shock was bent you will find a recess on the underside of that cross bar for it to lock into and that is why the top shock bracket slides .that's free advice free of charge 😂 I watch all your vids as I am a problem solver like yourself and enjoy trying to find the problems before you point them out keep up the good work 😁👍

Hi young Mustie truly enjoyed your Restoration save. I'm in the process of completing a restoration as well. I was able to get it running and am now searching for Plastics and other parts.
Could I get the number you refer to a about a panel source.

Guaranteed that kids got to it and did kid things like jumping and crashing the bejesus out of it.

Wish I had the old Chapie I removed the motor from and coasted down a gravel mountain. No brakes. It didn’t help someone was on the back and handlebars. When we approached the curve Jason jumped of the back knocking it off balance. His little brother got hit leg caught under it as it lay on its side. Tore the whole side of his leg off. I somehow ended up top of the other side adding to the weight on his leg. He had to be life flighted. It was ugly. Never coast down a rock drive with no brakes. Even if you already did it for weeks on end. The hundredth time could kill you.

    Anyhow love the series.
    God Bless

I Love it! I say fiberglass repair the sides etc, add kickstand & mirrors and paint it up, maybe a 50's Marron & Cream. I'm not a big fan of the Patina look. Super Kool! …Newk from Kentucky
