I spotted this honda engine powered air compressor out in the trash. let's bring it back to the shop to see why it was thrown out and can we save it?

Hey guys, how's it going? It's a little scrap picking on the side of the road. There's a couple of nail guns, a jigsaw, and this air compressor compressor head seems like it still spins. The engine does not think it's got took a whack in the gas tank, just got a hole there. Honda Eight Horse the wall is the compressor was made by sure what year it is.

so I figured maybe we'll go throw it in the truck. We'll figure out either what happened to the engine and or possibly if we could fix it without further. Ado Once you help me get it in the back of my truck, it's not getting easier. Ah, what happened to it? Motor blew up Okay, thanks.

You have any other parts for it, do you Okay that sucked. Yeah, that's easier to get in the back of the truck all right. Now that we're not on the side of the road, give ourselves a little bit better look at what we're dealing with. So he said that, um, you thought the engine or the compressor was bad.

My guess is he probably grabbed it from whatever work site when they went to go look at it, shoved it in his garage and then was doing a clean out and I just didn't remember much at all. So it looks like here's the output for the air. It's been swinging for a long time and then I threw a clamp on it to hold it and this is the I Think it's not the blow off, it's um, it discharges the air from the top of the compressor head so that when I went. when it goes to start back up, it's not fighting about against the compression.

Sure a year it is. I Hope that tells us anything. Well of course the engine is locked up. the compressor does turn.

We already kind of check that out. it's a DeWalt It's probably the same as a couple of different machines. Definitely looks like it's had a few Smashes in its life again. being there an air compressor that you wheel around how heavy it is I'm sure it's falling over a few times and gotten stabbed a little bit.

And all right, let's get you in a stand. Let's go get one of the plugs out of it, see if it has any oil in it. My guess would be that is possibly what it failed for if I ran out of oil and blew the motor up. but that's making assumptions.

Let's go find out what is actually wrong with it. Now they both have dipsticks on it neither. Let's um, you get a little bit of light in there. That one looks like it possibly broke off.

Let's go see what's on this side. same thing and nothing on that side. All right, let's go get a little bit of a probe of some sort and look in that other side the that is looking at pretty low. That might be your issue.

Let's um, so the pull start wants to turn it clockwise on this side, let's try to get some pliers or something on it and turn it the opposite direction. see if like a valve or something. Let's go when it's jammed up on it. sometimes you can spin it backwards and that would be something like that, right? Oh yeah, oh yeah.

It definitely feels real grindy. It does turn could be that easy, could it? Let's um, foreign. Let's get the spark plug out of it. really.
it does feel grindy though. Bottom end could be gone. That's a good sign to start with. At least the Piston didn't let go.

We're going in. Sometimes when it runs out of oil it takes to crank out and sometimes it just overheats and the Piston gets stuck to the cylinder walls. which possibly what happened. Who knows.

Let's see what that looks like. It's like somebody put a new one in that definitely looks like it ran hot. I Don't know if you see the top of it. it is just a baked so possibly let's um, let's go drain the oil out of it.

What are the chances? They make a mess? Let's go see if the end will come off or the whole thing just twist right out of a block. Yeah, the whole thing twists all right. We got to get my scripts or something on that. I Guess we can get rid of the container to Arena push some fluids right? All right.

Get on there. I'm willing to bet this is the first time the oil came out of it. Hopefully we don't see a bunch of little metal bits, but let's go see right. jack up near the ass.

end of it over there, lift it up, pee a little bit. I Don't see any metal yet. not seeing much in the way of oil neither though. I Can get a block, put it underneath there and kind of give it a little bit of a tilt.

a helping tilt if you will. Well, it's doing okay for oil coming out a little low, but it does have a low oil shutoff I Believe that is what it is and that would just ground out the coil if it did not see oil pressure or some of our oil pressure. Some are just like it would just sense a level of oil. Yeah, so that's the second container.

Here's our first one. Again, it's low, but at least there is something in it. Let's go plop that plug back on there. Maybe we'll uh, squirt a little bit of oil down the cylinder actually before we do that.

Let's uh, just give a tug on the pull start and see how it feels a little bit. I seen it where it was the pull start that caused it too. But let's see what we get does not feel too bad. Let's go through some oil down to cylinder in case that's where it got taken out.

Yes, you can just go fog that thing. Take a quick peek inside here so you can see anything on the walls. Got a whole bunch of that whoops! I Plug the hole I Got over excited. Come on there we go.

Let's give that a couple of chugs. Let me go give it a good, uh, foreign but again, there's no oil in it. Let's go. Um, set it back down, put some oil in the crankcase, and then um, we'll check for spark.

So half a quart came out and a full court filled it up. All right. let's go give that a couple of. Yanks Now the bottom is something to, uh, wet a twistle I'm missing.

like how much it spins after. I she feels pretty good. Let's um, turn it to run and throw the plug in it. see if we get any.
Spark Your chances are my dad's pretty good because I don't think that's what it failed for. Valve covers should be good enough. Yeah, you're right. we got your back.

I'm gonna try to dumping a little bit of fuel down the plug hole and give her a couple of Yanks she takes off. Let's pop the air cleaner off first. just make sure there's nothing we're gonna suck in that's crappy. Always a weird Amazed by how much people put money into something.

Okay, what was this thing new? I don't know. 1500 bucks Maybe And then it. just like no love is given to him a lot of times it's really something kind of stupid that causes it. so we're gonna want to leave the gases in the that's the choke.

Once choke wants gas I think the choke is off. gas is on so we want air to go through it. Let's go dump a little bit of fuel down the plug hole. It may or may not go from all the oil I put in there, but we'll find out.

Plus we'll see it has compression yet too. Let's give a little bit of fuel on it that may or may not work. Like I said, a lot of times that amount of oil, although needed like I said that. My guess is that the Rings were bound up not the crankshaft so it definitely need something to try to help stop the build up of the gall or whatever it was.

it locked it up. Damn it, it's that opening for that plug isn't all that great. Place your bets I'm gonna say it's gonna give us a pucker a couple of times. see how we do? You see, let me back you up a little.

The pressure doesn't feel too bad once you go I don't know. Bottom end sounds a little funky. Let's go give her another to the carb this time Sequel to Go that's a little clacky but it was free. Let's continue to have some fun with it See what we can do? Um, once you can get it to run and stay running, let's um, take a light, take a peek inside there, see if there's any fuel in it going in.

She is bone dry. That's a good sign. Clean too. Other than the let's see if we see daylight.

Oh, it's over here. Where that crash Mark is no I don't see anything? Oh yeah, yeah you do. It's got a whole one. Let's go pop the float ball off of it.

let's see what kind of crap is happening in there. Let's get it back up in here. we'll get that off. Let's go take this off too.

Foreign position. There we go. Yeah, it definitely looks like it's uh, some gumminess going to it. Let's go pop the uh football off.

damn it. Oh yeah, yeah, that's gonna need some love. It's got stalactites up the top too. It's gonna have to come off.

Let's go see if that float moves at all. We're just stuck in one position. Get that carbureted off of there and go give her a quick cleaning. We are going to need to pop off the two linkages so that is our throttle.

There's a choke and then we should have a fuel coming in which is broke. Here's the fuel line. That's why there's no gas in it. Looks like somebody cut it.
maybe I Wonder if they were gonna go dump it off at a dubny make you run all the gas out of it. They cut it. I Think you're supposed to do the oil too though. All right.

So these I think these studs have to come off and then the carburetor'll come out. It's it's you know, right against there. it's smashed against the body. Find out right now.

Nope. but I think this stud will make might make it easier. I'm gonna go take a second to go pick away at that and we'll get it disassembled. Let's bring it.

I think if you close the throttle, it's enough play to get it off the linkage and I think you can go to Full Throttle There you go out of there. that's a good peek at man. Oh yeah, look at a mud that's coming out of it. It may have just sat for a long period of time and they went to go use it and it was locked up.

Look at the crap that's in the intake. Yeah, all right. let's go operate on a curb. let's go take her apart.

The float out of it. Maybe Fortunately, it feels kind of oily. the um, so there's a jet. There's a Jet right down the center of it.

Let's see if I get a light. It is 100 clogged. You couldn't get any more clogged than that. It's definitely not going to pass anything through that.

there's something that looks like a screw in the middle of that. It's supposed to with a hole dead center. Yeah, we got nothing. That's a where it draws the fuel up.

Let's go dig that away a little bit and hopefully find what's supposed to be in there packed or crap. My guess is that's what it was parked for. Parked unused, not used. Let's go grab a should be there, see if you could find any kind of pop for me.

There you go. Hopefully there's not too much crap in the threads. Feels like it's coming out decent. Sometimes the you're trying to back it out, it'll start bogging on the crap that's in there in the threads.

It's right there. there. it goes down. That's what it's supposed to look like.

kinda. I think it's cleared out and sometimes there's a motion tube. It depends on the machine. Let's just see if it can pop that off without losing the gasket.

There we go. see if we can have access to the there's like an emulsion tube that's up inside here. Sometimes they come out, sometimes they're not. I'm not familiar with Honda's enough to know whether that's the case or not.

I'm just trying to peek through and see if I can push on the top of it if it'll move. Okay, I think it did. Yeah, we we may have to rinse it. Let me.

uh, see if I can grab it, pull out on it. All right. Let's just keep disassembling somewhere. There's a 10 millimeter wrench right there.

Let's go get the uh, lose the fuel filter sediment bowl I look terrible I think just I wonder if there's supposed to be a screen in there though? Let's go see what the fuel line I Have to be able to soak this. Let's um, there's another jet under here. so this is the throttle. Stop the idle speed to get rid of that and that kind of holds down just by pressure.
Another jet which is this plastic body right here. This one gotta be a little gingerly or plastic. Snap It Off So grab it. There you go.

That was half of it. That bottom piece is supposed to come out too. Yeah, just tell me no, you're not there. It goes.

You know that's gonna have to get cleaned also and we should have a screw in here that is. Um, so it's got an air fuel mix, but it's got the little cam on the end of it that is anti-tamper proof. which is that right there. We probably grind that off because you're going to need to access it to clean it.

Um, let me go work on popping that out of there and we have to grind that little nipple off of. um, that Jet right there that we're just talking about. I Just took a wire cutter and cut the top of that cam off of there and see if we can unthread that now close. Remind me if we put that in just to kind of hit it on the grinder real quick.

Get rid of the last little bit. Oh yeah, that would definitely need some love that is packed with goo also. And what do we have? the emulsion tube up to? Center Let's see if I can get a street pick on it. Foreign access above and you can kind of like push right down through the center.

This one does not. Let's go throw a little bit of a carb cleaner in there, see if it'll help free it up. It moves up and down like you can push on it from the inside, but there's only like a eighth of an inch exposed. so once you do that, you don't have much room to grab it anymore.

Let me try. Um, they quite get something with a hook. All right, let me see if we can find something. just a little tip of a hook on it.

Let's try this one one more time, because when this comes out, if and when, yeah, we're wiggling. now there's uh, little side ports. They're in this emotion tube that also get kind of clogged up. All right.

It's okay, find a better tool. yeah, but a drill bit, it's got some sidewall tooth. You know there we go there, she is. You know if it's gonna show up on camera.

But these little ports right here. So I was talking about. they all get clogged. There's more of them there so they need to be cleaned out.

I'm not sure if this one ran in o-ring possibly ran an O-ring either here or there, but I don't see any sign of it anymore. I Think this is good enough to throw in the ultrasonic cleaner and let it do its thing and we'll go take a peek at I Don't know. maybe the compressor head or something. See what condition that's in that's going to soak for about 45 minutes or so.

Let's go see what else we got. We should have a dipstick somewhere on this. Another thing I'm concerned about is was something removed from there kind of looks. it doesn't it? that wouldn't be for maybe it was just a muffler when it kicked off.
They'd have to look at another compressor because that line goes up through here and it when the compressor stops running after it gets full, the top of the cylinder head still has pressure on it here in here and what happens is when the it demands like the air. the level goes down so much and it tells it to re-engage the uh engine to run the compressor or you know, pick up speed. It can't do it because it has to try to overcome that compression. I Think that's what it does on an electric motor.

that's how it works. but then again this is gas and it runs all the time. so it's not like there's any clutch or anything on it. I'm not quite sure how that works.

You figure if it's idling and it's still able to, uh uh, maybe. okay, maybe that's what it is I'm kind of thinking aloud I wonder if that is just it while it's idling. It has no compression and it's able just to kind of coast along without having any load on it. and then when it gets below a certain pressure, that shuts back off again.

kind of opposite what you're thinking on the uh, the other setup right? and then what would tell the engine to pick speed back up again or does it? I Thought I saw a throttle stop like an electric throttle stop on it. Keep walking around. We'll find something there. It is right there.

so it's got who's coming up and it goes to that. Whatever that is throttle. No, maybe that's supposed to come. Is this the valve that opens the circuit? Sure that is connected to the governor.

and I would guess that that's kind of like a valve running down to a line. A line goes under and goes right through that switch. Hmm. Is there a t there? Yeah, there's a t.

So all that's tied together, it's on the head, the throttle, and whatever this is is all tied together. I Wonder if this is like what reacts to the pressure? It drops below a certain pressure or goes above a certain pressure? and it works. This valve and this valve ties both of those things together Again, we're just guessing. All right.

Where were we? Let's go look and see if this thing has any oil in it and where we can check it. I'm gonna go with that right there. Let me pop. You understand it looks low but it's got oil in it.

Let's go to your your finger dunk. Yeah, definitely low. It's it's down there about it's down about right here. Yeah.

I'm sure that uses for oil might be like a um, a detergent 330 or something. So what do you think this is referring to? Would that be you would think that that? you know? Maybe um, because if you're going to want to pull starter, you're not going to want to be pulling against pressure. I Know that so if it's not running in, the air compressor is trying to fight resistance, you know it's kind of like starting a pressure washer. When the pressure washer, you got to kind of pull the wand to leave the water pressure out of it.
Hmm. Jono, what do you think that is Could be something, not a choke lever? Nothing. All that information is up here on the carburetor. My guess it just has to do with air.

You don't think something here swung, swung down and swung back. It's not like there's a tag behind that or no, it's just a metal bracket and just a metal bracket Hmm. so the engine spins this way. It's cool, that's the valves.

Let's go pop the ear Cleaners off the top and we'll see if they're drawing any air in the air cleaner. So these little um, things that are flapping but some pop them off, put our fingers over it and we'll see if. um, you're getting a draw. not feeling anything? See about this one.

that one's got some this one I'm not feeling anything good. Possibility is that those little um valves that we were talking about could be open too. Wish I had something I could kind of spin this with a little bit. Uh, let's go look into trying to find in my stash a belt as roughly that dimension you need to be able to tie them together.

Welcome to my belt stash. Got some over there? Wait a minute. keeps going. We got more over here.

These are should be the smaller sized ones. so let's just go grab a random one over here and we'll just go ahead and go larger or smaller. I'm going to say something like that and if we find something yeah, we can buy new ones afterwards. Grab that.

Hey, how good was our eye I think it's the wrong size? Yeah, so we're too big on that one. This one's probably gonna be bigger. so I'm gonna go keep poking around. Yeah, right? I'm gonna keep poking around now that I have this as a gauge to go by and I'm gonna try to find something that's got about that much less in it.

I've taken them two and taken like vice grips and just clamp it and then go buy new belts. but it's not even the right width neither. So and more shopping. So this is the one that we use for a scale and grabbed a couple of others.

Foreign might be all the way. This way though I have all these two real quick, big, and too big. Okay, let's see what movement we got on it. this was fairly close.

Okay, we're just trying to troubleshoot so I don't want to start spending a bunch of money on stuff. That one almost makes it. Oh Maybe good. We just need two of them like that.

but at least you got something on there that should be enough to spin it. Uh, what do you want to do I don't know if I want to scoot that gas tank at all. Yeah, I may have another one if that's a the common Honda size like on the five horse. I may have one.

I'm gonna go take a peek I Have a feeling it might be a little bit bigger for that scale engine. Let's go shopping again now. I Believe Up in this pile there's a defunct Honda somewhere that's um, that's the engine off of a Go-kart commercial go-kart that Tank's too big. Seem to remember eyeballing one though it might be at the house.
Oh that one right there. the white one I'm not too proud not to steal so I'd say like a 5.5 horse. I'm gonna go grab a tape measure real quick and measure the size of that. It looks a little smaller though, doesn't it? Let's go find out.

Let's go measure that one real quick. Looks taller, doesn't it? So I'd say it's nine. Nine by nine by four and change. Yeah, what do we got here? It's definitely not nine that way.

Yeah. I think it's um, the scale of it is awful little. I Want to say I have a gas tank? a black one that's not on anything. it might be at the house.

Another thing too is, uh, check the condition of the tank I wonder if um, we can back pressure some of it and put some pressure in the tank and see what it does here where it pisses out I Don't know if you could do that. we could probably do. Just get a, um, one of the regular Chucks you know from an air tool, pop it in there that'll open this circuit up and then we just shoot an air gun in it. see how that works out? Yeah, one of these you know I know it's the right one.

Let's go see. Got it? Take an air gun, just push back I wonder if it's got a breather? So it's like somebody stole the uh, the Trap up the bottom. It's like a little check valve. Air is pissing right out.

Let's see if we can go find a fitting for that. Can we flip this thing up on its ass? I don't see a lot of pissy oil out of it. Let's go look real quick. Yes, okay.

flip right over on it. All right. I gotta get a board or something for that to let go. So far, Crash.

try that again. Miss it all right. let's go find a plug for that for the drain, which is it right there. One good thing though, you didn't have any water sitting in it and freezing.

The chances are we'll find something I don't know if we're gonna find a plug though, you know? I think we'll find something that Taps into it but not um, that size. I Also have a tool box on the side over here that possibly would have something in it. Let's go try at least figure out what the red size that is I'm gonna see a smaller one, probably too big so that's what size it is I just gotta find something that can. uh, cap that off I Think this toolbox should be a chance so it's the same.

You can shorten that up. Now we need like a cap that goes over that and one in here. I'm gonna dig for a little bit. let's see if I can find like a block off or some kind of combination that will get us there.

You know, what about on the second floor? Yeah, it's all bigger stuff. There's the other way. so go through the stash. I Found this.

It's like a little check valve. It's a I think actually it's a tire like a tire truck. weird kind of size and I think that should be able to thread in. There should be good enough at least to, uh, try to build some pressure and if we need to let them out, we can kind of push it like a tire valve.
Let's go see what it does. Hey, who's the new guy I knew that was gonna happen. Whoops. That's gonna try filling it up again.

see where it pisses out next I was thinking if we start to hold pressure, the gauge should come up I hear it coming out of the air. one of the air cleaners, it's all the way open. Pop that off. see where it's taking from up here somewhere.

right here. Kind of what we thought, right. something was missing. You have to try to find something else to block this one.

I wonder if we can, um, stab at that a little bit? Maybe there's like a valve in there that's just not seating all the way. I think somebody stole Parts off of it though. Definitely moves that throttle in the linkage. That's what it does for the RPMs I'm gonna try to shoot some.

It looks like a check ball that's down there. but I think it's just got there. It goes dirt around it, that's stopping it. still leaking a little.

Let's um, let's spray some with that crap down in there. Foreign. Probably take it apart, get the ball out of there and clean it. I Also think maybe if we get a little bit more pressure on it, it might seal itself.

Let's leave it like that and we'll try giving it more juice until we can get that gauge to start climbing. It looks like it's at, uh, pretty much like five pounds. Something like that. The cage is stuck.

now it's reading 80 pounds and try to get this clip out of here. There we go. I Think the gauge is just stuck at 70. still pissing a little bit.

I Don't know if it's coming straight down from the tank, where that ball is or where that's kind of intersecting it. Let's give that a couple of whacks. Now let's get some pressure behind. It'll blow some of the crap off of it.

There's the throttle moving. Foreign problem is we need like no pressure on that for it to hard to get the oil under where the contamination is. When it's got pressure behind it, it doesn't look like it's going to want to run down and we'll let that be. That seems like it's decent.

At least it's holding some kind of pressure, it's not blowing out. Uh, let's try turning the compressor over. Actually, she's got the belt on it, doesn't it? Who did that? So it spins this way. we're gonna take that belt back off of there.

We're still going to want to go dial in the engine anyway. Okay, so there's the throttle lever that's popped out. So I wonder after a certain pressure? I'm not sure if that's bringing it to idle or if it's bringing it to Full Throttle I Would my guess would be idle like that would be idle. The pressure is up high enough and it shuts.

It Off Hmm. All right, let's go back to the engine. Hey give her a couple of pulls and if you standing like a little knocking. hmm so what do you think? The chances are that noise is normal.
It could be like pull start Hardware something that's kind of clanking around a little bit. but yeah, it's not sounding good. All right. Gonna go get that carb rescue.

it. Put it back together. We'll throw it on, get a little bit of fuel on it, see if it runs, and get a better assessment what we got for an engine. If he's clacking away or not, that's a little cleaner.

Halfway through putting it back together again, no rain in the forecast whatsoever. Zero percent is what it said. At two o'clock it's four o'clock Okay. I can try putting it without the air cleaner on it I Got to get um, something to kind of space off this Gap here and then put the nuts on it.

keep the carburetor drawn close to it so right now it's holding it towards idle. It's got the pressure of that diaphragm is trying to make it so that it idles. So I'm just gonna run that low speed in a little bit just so we can kind of work on the engine that may be revving a little too high. but I'm not sure.

I'm gonna go put a piece of fuel line on the carb and we'll backfill it without putting anything in the tank, yet the lights keep flickering. hopefully the power stays on backfeed that carb. At least try to fill that float. Bowl and if we get that failed, it should be able enough to, um, you know, run it for about a minute.

I'm real Curious to kind of like listen to the engine I Want to see if it's clacking or not? If it is Rod knocking. it's pretty much going to be done, but it's not dropping down anymore. Oh really. So let's go tie this up out of Harm's Way somewhere, somehow put a loop in it and then we'll give her a pull see what it does.

So we're gonna need some choke and I think it's already on belts off of it. Are you in a good spot? I'm gonna back you up a little. Let's go For Broke that sounded clunky. Thank you.

Foreign. Too bad, too bad. yeah. she's just got a loose bottom and it's not a valve noise.

Let's go pop the valve cover officers for shits and giggles. but it's bottom end. it's knocking. That's what I was thrown out for.

Oh well. actually let's get the air out of it and we'll fire it up and we'll see how it does. See, we'll just kind of do an assessment on the compressor side of it, see if that's good just for future. You know if we find another engine or something to put on it, we'll know that the at least the compressor head and the tank is good.

She better just put that fitting back in and let it piss the air out. Put the belt on it. but now it's got a drag to turn that idle back up again. Something like that.

Let's go put that fuel line up and give her another. Yeah, you can see what we get. All right. the belt's on.

Oh well. it starts. Let's go some choke all right. Foreign.

foreign PSI and stopped. I Don't know if something tells the com like it just opens valves up in the top of the head or if that's cooked also. Hard To Say Too Bad. Definitely got got work to death and my guess is I I Don't know the loyal is still connected to it.
so I'm not quite sure why it blew up. why I threw a rod Hondas are usually pretty good, especially if there's oil in them. Nothing's going. no oil in it right? Uh yeah.

I Don't know if these kind of like open some ports, see if they're hot and allow it not to do anything that it's all the way up at pressure. Maybe it's just that gauge again because before it's stuck, that's bleeding out still slowly. What do you think? I think we're done. Anything else you want to take apart I don't know.

Maybe pop a cylinder head off. one of the uh, one of those should have like Reed valves on the inside of it and hmm. let's put the coupler on there. that'll give us a indication of what, uh, how much pressure is in it.

That's like 30 PSI that's not I wonder if it has multiple multiple problems I think we go pop the cylinder head off? Why not, right? We got six bolts. You got that? a main line going into the tank? I've got two of these right? Should be one on the other side. Yeah, so let's get that off. that off that off in the six bolts off my pole.

pull the top of the head off. let's see what the Pistons look like. Let's go buzz that off. You always wanted to see what's inside a compressor, didn't you? Yeah, we need a hammer.

so this should be the little one-way valves. That one's moving, that one's moving and the seam on that side. Let's go see if we can get that layer tapped off of it. I Don't think there's any more bolts holding it together.

kind of wedge underneath it. actually get us down to the Pistons I don't think there's any more bolts holding anything I don't see anything to you? Yeah, so you can drive a wedge in her. There you go and just the other side of the valves to look at what that bore looks like. I'm going to cup it, just see if I get oh I get anything if you think the Rings are burned down on that too.

I'm gonna go take the belt off of it again so we're not fighting the engine. All right. So enough cup that one's okay. that one's okay.

Hmm, it seems decent I Don't know why it wasn't dumb when it was running I cut my finger over the intake I Should have felt like a draw I should have felt like a draw on when it was running I Kind of like put my thumb over it I wouldn't feel like sucking air and that's the two air intakes for each side of the cylinders and it wasn't doing anything and it was at uh, just like 25 30. PSI So I don't know again, if something was telling it not to do that to, you know, not have pressure. let's go look at that cylinder head again. So what are those two lines go to? So I wonder if these these push those down and if they push those down, they're going to keep those valves open and it would not have pressure.
So why what was the purpose of that not allowing it to build what told it to shut off at 30? PSI I wonder if it's this I wonder if it gets a signal from there. It energizes those lines? Are they separate? No yeah, that's one of them right there. So again I wonder if it's something inside there to send a signal? Had air kind of bleeding through those energized those two solenoids and held those valves open. So I think that compressor part of it's okay I think it's just the um yeah the engines be making compose my thoughts.

Well this one was more of a kind of a spur of the moment not that most of them are video as this driving by and I saw the thing on the side of the road say oh that might be something worse to kind of get into I actually thought we were going to be successful when we turn the engine backwards in it freed itself like oh good. It just kind of locked up and somebody said okay, we trucked it when they went to go pull start it and it was going to be okay. not so much. I don't know why again the engine blew and you know made the the rod make it have a rod knock on the bottom.

but my guess is some kind of fashion that a star for oil. or if we look closely maybe somebody disconnected to low oil or it's just not working. It's hard to say but the compressor head seems like it's good. the tank seems like it holds pressure.

Uh can I find another engine for it I don't really have a use for this at the moment, but I will I think we need something I don't know if we can use a regular Honda and just like transfer all this kind of stuff over to it I wouldn't see why. Not right? not all winners. unfortunately. if I had fun, just kind of looking into it I'm not going to pull the engine apart to do a dissection on it.

We've done quite a few of those in the in, the uh, the recent. So I think we'll uh, leave this one. we'll just kind of stuff it up, stuff it upstairs in the stash and if we find something later that we need a part for and or if we find an engine for this, we'll come back and review, revisit this, and try to put an engine on it. All right guys, With that, that's about it.

We're gonna go wrap her up and thank you all for hanging out, doing some wrenching with me on some free junk and uh, sometimes to win? sometimes they don't. Till then I'll see you later.
