you could change the offset of the rim and take two different lengths of spokes and pull them a little bit more two one side so the rim is more in the middle of the hub so you don't have widen the frontend
Hi Mustie, I missed the part where you configured the front wheel with the smaller inner rim. Did you weld it to the spokes or did it come off another bike ?ย ย ย J K
hi i love the bike build i was watching your forks and remember seeing cool springer style from bike company called Felt please check them out and go to parts for cruiser bikes and the forks are called Jerry Springer i bet you could make a set like them
If you come off your pivot bracket,ย ( the one you well make with 3 holes that the wheel bolts to ), with a bracket for the pliers to mount to it would keep them inline with the brake on the wheel.
A spring off from a old leaf spring ski from a snowmobile would be a better option. You can drill spring steel easier with a masonary bit. Just make sure you run the bit real slow and keep plenty of oil to it. Love the looks of the bike, its going to be a a unique showpiece.
I really like the forks that the guy at the car show gave you they are nice. They would be even better if they had a spring at the top like springer front end has. May be you can make them into a springer front end?
Why didnt you redish the front wheel

Every time I see the shovel handle remnants, a picture forms in my mind of it somehow supporting a back rest for the seat.
Very cool
Watching and enjoying.

I can tell I'm tired when you ask 'is it moving guys", and I am sitting here like an idiot saying "yeah, it moved about a quarter inch". OUT LOUD!
Is there a reason why you didnt heat the end of the tube up to make it easyer to tap on to the lug bit, would it have ruined the tube or something?.
