this is the second video on this mid 80s ezgo golf cart that was stored in a barn after having run issues, in part 1 we got it running but had low compression, this time we pull the engine and repair it.

Did u ever figure out how to get it to idle like a normal machine?
Why not clean the exhaust port that was loaded with gunk?
What is the brand name of the engine?looks like a old snowmobile engine.
A JLO or Rockwell .maby a cayona engine.whitch maby next to impossible to get parts for them.😂
I learned alot from this video, thank you. I have other problems, like the drive and driven pulley. And the oiler ?
Btw restore" rebuild" ah, I call same phrase" why God" why me
Million views !? Well millionone now! I'm such a sucker
It’s crazy how tiny a sliver of the exhaust port is actually doing the work before the intake port opens up. That positive pressure pop from intake does the rest I guess just funny to actually see the motion and proportions. Cool little demo man
Lmao. I couldn’t stop thinking about that forklift carrying the cart back, just like the last scene in that movie The Bodyguard. “Take me home, one last time” (Annnnd Iiiiiii…..)
On these older EZ Go's I believe that under the floor mat there is access to the cables with adjustment possible for the pedal start point?? That would have allowed you to get the start point better adjusted.
Good idea to use left hand drill bits on the broken off bolts. Sometimes they will catch and the broken off bolt will come out.
I don’t trust oil injection never have never will.mixing is safer.😊😊😊
I use a hose clamp to compress piston rings. The type of hose clamp with a worm screw.
i did the same to my engine new piston cylinder then i
ran it and it died also just like yours, then after cool down it ran again just for a short, long story short the muffler was broke inside blocking the air flow then i burn up the cylinder and piston. it did not allowing the gas oil mix to lubricate the cylinder .i cut the muffler open and yes everything was sitting in the bottom blocking the exit hole. i ordered a new piston cylinder and muffler will let you know how it goes once i install them
Haha "I don't think that motor mount is motor-mounting."
Correct analysis.
The guy is totally right about the paper filter that you have in between the fuel tank and the car braider you're running premix now therefore you cannot run a fuel filter it will block the oil from getting through the fuel and you will just burn the motor up again. Also anytime you rebuild a motor you always rebuild the carburetor you put a new float in it you put a new needle one seat in it you clean the s*** out of it you make Certain that all the passages in the carburetor are clear and free flowing and you clean the carbon out of the exhaust port you don't leave it in there that's why the d*** thing's breaking down on you every 5 minutes because you didn't do it right. You have assed it.
Great vid, especially the tip on direction using vicegrips / channel locks, anyways thanks for the common sense vids!
Mustie1, great video! I've got a question for you on this…… I have the exact same motor and am currently working on the rebuild. I took the two crank case halves apart and am now confused as to if there should be a gasket between the halves? I plan on replacing both of the crank case seals but can't find any info on a crank case gasket for the two halves. Do you have any advice on this? Thanks in advance!
