Any tips? I have done this a couple of times and My light still flashing. Did also open the drive cover and belt seem fine and switch was on the on position. I'm getting no luck!

Hey Mustie, I have a 2004 500cc Arctic cat with the constant velocity trans. I can’t find the limp mode switch in the manual. Do you think my cat would have this being it is a 2004? I am finding the machine goes into a limp mode when in reverse. I am plowing with it, so I’m hoping it is just the belt doing what you were talking about. Just wanted to know your thoughts.

Excellent video. I am not sure what did it. Kind of went backward. Tried to reset CDI several times because it was easy to get to first. Tried my homemade jumper wire, but did not disconnect the lower wire at first. I managed to loosen the cover without removing the step. Thanks to your video, I knew where the On/Off switch was. It was on by feeling it. Turned off and on several times. Disconnected the lower wire, used jumper wire, and reset the CDI. Belt light went out. Put back together and it ran like a top. I use mine for plowing 620 feet of driveway and a large pad. I obviously have to use reverse a lot. Ready for winter now. Thanks again.

109 hrs and it needs brakes ?
Bigger tires and using a plow , you should have put a clutch kit on the machine.

Thanks man it solved my problem. I just had to disconnect the switch, jump the connector turn key on for 10 seconds and connect everything back. Really good explanation from you. Thanks again.

I'll never buy another Arctic cat have two both are huge money pits. Avoid avoid avoid. Find Yamaha or Honda or even a Suzuki and don't buy belt drives anything after they went to belt drive is for shops to make the big $$$$
