I picked up this air compressor that was in a friends factory, we had no history on its condition, and no power to try it out. when we got it home and hooked up power it had a bad rod knock. lets see if we can fix it with some other parts l had laying around.
RPMs are too high you need a smaller pulley on the motor
I enjoy your videos and keep them coming very well.
Personally, I would turn the compressor pulley around so that it cools the pump as it was intended to.
still looks way to fast. is that motor 3450 or 1745 rpm?
glad im not the only one that took one pf my pits extra water bowls to use in the shop haha
Should have put rubber isolators under the compressor head where it bolts down to the tank.
yes tear the old one down to see what went wrong as currious.
All new crap has crappy sleeves in it. you have to pay extra to get good cast iron sleeves in engines. won't last unless you get a cast iron sleeve.
WTH!!!…That tank must have drank a 6pk before it got to your house.
That thing sounds like a little prop plane
Nice honda
I know this is years old, but on needing an elbow to connect the replacement pump, why not just take the elbow off the old pump?
Your replacement pump having a smaller pulley the motor could be driving the pump too fast.
Txs,I learned a few things.
