I know this vid is almost 6 years old, but wanted to say I think your tethers would look better if they were made out of the same material as the pull straps on front doors.
When we made stage panels they are material stretched over a wooden frame. Very similar to a canvas. As you attach it's easy work the material with clamps. Then we painted the panel with a 50/50 water and Elmer's glue. It dries ridged and transparent. Now its easy to attach.
There's a product at home depot and Lowes called peel and stick. Rolls are dirt cheap it's the same. As dynamat and ive used it on at least 10 vehicles
After watching all your vids….I notice that in NW Indiana…..you never see many old school VWs anymore…..let alone a van……all you see is the newer bugs and maybe a Jetta or Rabbit
Good looking bus. My 67 Deluxe was blue and white. Drove it from California to North Carolina after I got out of the Navy.
Both my young daughters rode co pilot with me.
Front bench seat.. Good memories.. Very Nice.
Looks great!

How did the weather watch product work for sound deadening?
That dynamat ist butyl rubber and the weatherwatch is asphalt. Might make a smelly and fume wise difference in summer.

uh, what do you have for breakfast at the diner?
for support on the seat, you could support it with leather, just like the old stage coaches we see in the old westerns
check with mrcrispin who has a homework shop and I think he knows a lot…he's a RollsRoyce apprentice at age 19.
in Upper Michigan, the record snow level is 32 feet 🙂
