I teach Brian how to make metal patch panels then how to weld them in his 1964 vw beetle. He has never done any of this before so I filmed the process so others may learn too.

Good stuff, passing on the knowledge and experience
Can I come work for you?
Thanks for showing the basics and helping a friend learn. What a great experience to have a mentor.
Absolutely amazing (like all his vids) Learned a lot. many thanks !
I love this so much. We have a 74 VW beetle we are restoring after It has been sitting outside next to our hay barn, from the early 90’s. Had to park it after it became a Flint Stone car. It was lost in our forest of trees and high grass yet not forgotten. This tutorial is so helpful. Thank you so much for this important information.
Brian getting a great education there. Lucky guy. He did well with a great teacher. Thanx Mustie.👍
Sorry Dude, But the soles of your feet must be your "good side" According to the New camera guy. LMAO 😂🤣✌
Hoovering over my shoulder would drive me nut's. Lower case E's pushing the puddle foreword will make nice clean dimes.
Awesome tutorial..
Excellent tutorial
Yes please nice to see something like this Steve from the UK🇬🇧👍
Did lots of this on my old cars when I was young patching rust holes replacing wheel arches with my dad as a teacher. This video encourages me to get the welder back out and start a project of some sorts.
Whats the american word for SKIP. Best place for rust buckets.
Thats folks, is how to teatch !
This was a fantastic video!! I have to do very similar repairs on my bus and with the guidance you provided here, I feel I can do it. You are so patient with your student Brian and I appreciate the video stays on subject all the way through.
This one brings me back, I took a welding class at the local VoTech and an instructor in the metal fab class bought his son a VW Bug and had all of the metal made up and some in our class welded and brazed the new metal into the car as a project. I wasn't involved but learned a lot from watching it.
We like that Mustie you are a natural teacher, showing people then letting them lean by doing. We need younger guys leaning those fixing skills…I teach kids ages 5-11 18-20
