This looks exactly how my 99 will be in a year or two. For a pandemic project, I am working on going through it all right now. So far only a few small holes in the bottom of the frame in a couple of places. No welding yet. My plan is to go over it all with a scaler, followed by corroseal a few coats. I have some long brushes to try to get Corroseal inside the frame, then I plan to spray chain lube very liberally inside the frames where I can. All that will be followed with a complete coat inside and out with CRC 06026 Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor or for the components I don't need to keep an eye on I can use Black Cosmoline. I am having a real problem trying to get the running boards off. Very difficult. The design makes it impossible to get a wrench (or any other tool) on those nuts. Waiting on an angle grinder now!. By the way, mine looks exactly like yours, Red limited. Cool to see. Toyota should step up to this problem.
Hey mustie1, any chance you want to embark on another project as such? 2001 Toyota 4Runner to be precise. It needs frame work just like yours. Oh yeah, I'm in NH also
