I would definitely check fuel filter and fuel pressure…. I had a ford one time that drove me nuts trying to figure out what was wrong with it…. U could hold it wide open throttle going down the freeway and truck would barely get over 55mph… didn’t like to rev out just was gutless…. I chased everything u are chasing in this video (full tune up, timing, sensors, cleaning throttle body and injectors)… problem started getting worse and worse until one day the truck would start and idle but u couldn’t drive it u start giving it throttle it would start popping and just turn off…. It had 2 gas tanks and I ended up replacing the fuel pump in the front tank that came with the truck when I bought it….. I put gas in it and switched it to the front tank and it started up and ran like a brand new truck….. I switched it back to the other tank and it just wasn’t drivable…. Ended up checking the fuel pressure and the new pump had like 50psi and the old pump had like 10psi….. 10psi was enough to start and idle but that was it
scrap blown head
The reason that it shuts off is because of the govener. We had one when I was in the ANG. Keeps it from going over 40mph.
@Mustie1 If the Dodge Neon coil won't work, try a couple of coils for a 2000 Buick Century. That car takes 3 coils for a V6, so it works out to having 2 cylinders per coil. In your case, you could go with either one or two coils. I hope this helps.
I have that same Braun led light love it
In case it's not been mentioned lately…. Kudos on. The great channel that you have and the way you explain what you are doing… I just wanted to make sure that you know you're appreciated.
there should be a crank or cam sensor
Maybe one of those Internet forums?? K truck like one ????
I love those dangling lights in the back. XD Could've been a grounds-keeping vehicle!
Shouldn't be too hard to tap in a coil off just about anything, just have to tap one into the wiring harness in the right place for it to fire at the right time. (says the guy that has yet to attempt a multi-coil upgrade on his truck)
Oh, a coil from a Neon? Sweet! Wonder if a Neon's coil could be adapted to an old Beetle engine?
May have to try that, just for kicks…
See if it has a crankshaft sensor or cam sensor when my Honda accord crankshaft sensor was going bad it ran like crap like that
