I would not remove that steel in the front. Looking at the geometry in front out the bike it will have significant leverage on the weld points behind it.
The use of the handle bars worked out well as far as being symmetrical. Funny how things workout sometimes. Looks good to this point. It can only get better. Thanks for the videos.
