@mustie1 The crazy part is, most people in the snowbelt know how to drive in slippery conditions, in Vegas more than half the population haven't the slightest clue. So you'll see a guy in a nice lifted jeep, with a V8 and massive knobby tires come to a stop to turn at the corner, then gun it to beat the traffic and do several 360's down the street before even letting off the gas… IN TRAFFIC! I always worry about breaking an axle… sliding on oil and then catching some traction and PING…
@mustie1 OMG, you have no idea buddy, it rains so infrequently in Vegas that when it does, oils that have built up in the asphalt rise to the surface! It's JUST like black ice, and you never know where it's bad. I once left the gym on my 1100 Yamaha, a shower passed over but I didn't know it, out on the main drag I just touched the brakes, next thing I know the bike is out from under me and I'm rolling down the street looking at the cars coming, then my bike making a shower of sparks.
I like donuts. Glazed with ice or sugar 🙂
